About Us

Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.

Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

Time with the Fam!

Colby and Suzanne were up for a quick visit this weekend, so I was able to spend the day with them on Sunday at mom and dad's house! It was good to visit with them, and the kids enjoyed each other!

This is Julia trying to give Ethan a hug, but as you can see, he's just not that into it! Yummy!!! He ate plenty of strawberries at Grandma's house! It made quite the mess, but oh well!
Tired, and laying on the grass after a long day, and NO nap, because I couldn't get him to sleep! Too many exciting things to do and see!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for having us, and thanks to Colb, Suzanne, and Julia for coming up for a visit! We love seeing you guys!

Splish Splash!

Now that the weather is nice and toasty warm, it's time for water!!!!! We bought Ethan this little splash mat for Easter, and it's going to get good use this summer! He loves to play in it!

Now the pool is another story! We've taken him over to the rec center twice this month, and he's not too fond of the pool unless he's clinging onto me for dear life! In fact, he won't even get in the water unless I'm holding him. Even if it's an inch deep, he won't let go of me! We bought him this little life vest and thought it would help a little, but he's still scared. The day he bought the vest, Andy came home and tried it on Ethan, and he strutted around the house like he was King. When we took it off, he cried his head off. Can't figure it out, but he loves to wear that vest!

American Idol!

Well, here is the deal . . . I REALLY dislike Adam Lambert. I would never in a million years purchase one of his albums. I hate the yelling in a high pitched tone, I hate the sticking the tongue out when he's yelling, I hate the hair, I hate the painted nails, and I most certainly hate those tight, stripe girl pants that he wore when he sang with Allison! I am just not a fan in the least bit!

I liked Danny a lot, but I think that I would purchase a Chris album before I purchased a Danny album. I think Chris has a wonderful voice, and he's humble, modest, and "real".

I was highly disgruntled by the judges on Tuesday night when they pretty much said "vote for Adam." HELLO!!!! What about the other 2? They are amazing. I will admit that Adam knows how to work a stage, and how to perform. But, as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't SING nearly as well as the other two!!!

So, needless to say, I will be voting for Chris next week, and I hope that the rest of America will wise up to the fact that he sings MUCH better than Adam!!!!

One Step Closer

Yesterday, I had passed my committee exam for my Master's degree! I had to present a powerpoint presentation to the committee about my project, and then they grilled me with questions for about 40 minutes. I passed, which means I'm one step closer to graduation! Thank goodness!

My written capstone report has been graded by my mentor, but has to be approved by the rest of my graduation committee. Hopefully it will pass in the next few weeks, and then I'll FINALLY be done!
