About Us

Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.

Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

Jungle Jim's

This weekend, we went with our friends Andy and Melissa and their kids to Jungle Jim's playland! Ethan had fun and wanted to ride the rides, but would not offer a smile for the camera!

New Job!!!!

Well, today I was offered a position as the district science specialist for the Canyon's school district! I'm pretty excited to be working over there next year, and I think it will be a great change to teach teachers instead of kids! Even though I'll miss them!

Mommy's Little Helper

Yeah!! It's spring time, and my little cherry tree is blossoming! I'm so excited to finally have some nice weather! We better not be waking up to snow anymore for a while!

I went to the grocery store today and they had this really cute little set that I just had to get for Ethan! Once we got home from the store I did a little yard work, and he played around with his little toys, and was such a good little helper! Here he is helping me get rid of weeds!

The watering can is adorable huh? He saw me watering, and wated to water too!
Soon he discovered that the hose was way more fun than the watering can was! He is going to have soooo much fun playing in the water this summer!

Easter Morning

Easter morning was fun this year! Ethan had fun helping me unwrap his presents, and eat his fruit snacks! He got a little water splash mat toy for this summer, and a Bernstein Bears Mind their Manners DVD. He also got a few easter egss. One with a toy, and the others with his fruit snacks!

Pleased as can be to be eating fruit snacks!

Easter Picnic

There is Ethan fresh out of the gate at the family Easter egg hunt! It's usually a mad dash to pick up candy, but Ethan was on a mad dash to find the dog. I put this piece of candy in his basket, and then he took it out and threw it, and started to put rocks in his basket! He is ALL boy!He looks really happy huh?And even happier?

Here is what he wanted. Everyone else picked up candy, and he played with the dog!

Once inside, he found every ball that he could possibly get his hands on to play with!
We had a great time! Thanks to Janet, because the big barn was nice and warm for the party! And thanks to great grandma for the candy and toys!

Swing Time

Grandma and Grandpa T bought Ethan a swing for his birthday this year, and hung it up in their big tree. It's finally been warm enough outside to swing! Here he is . . .

Brushing Teeth

Ethan just makes me laugh! He is totally in his little routine, and knows exactly what comes next, and exactly what to do. He grabs my finger when I tell him it's bath time lately, and walks me to the bathroom. He gets in, plays for quite a while, gets out, brushes his teeth, and then it's time for jammies and bed. He's so in the routine, that he even wants to brush his own teeth these days! I LOVE this picture. The duck towell cracks me up, and him looking at himself in the mirror is even funnier! Here is the video of the tooth brushing process!

New Toy & Old Friend

Ethan adores our dog Norma! He is constantly giving her loves! These are just a few of the cute pictures we've managed to get of him cuddling with her!

Ethan loves to be outside, and he loves to get dirty, so we thought there would be nothing better than a sand box, and he absolutely loves it! He will play in it for hours! Hopefully the weather will be warm enough soon for him to be able to go out and play in it more!

Niece's Wedding

A few months ago, my niece Amy, got married! I went and took a few pictures of her getting reading, and I think this one turned out fantastic!

Strep Throat!

I went to the Doc yesterday with a sore throat, and bam . . . I have strep! The fact that I am surrounded by students in a germ fest is the problem I'm sure. Anyway, I haven't been feeling well at all, and Andy has been so good to take care of things while he's been home. He has been on graveyard though, so thanks to mom and dad for coming over and tending, doing dishes, etc. so I could get some well needed sleep, and stay away from Ethan as much as possible so he doesn't get sick too! You guys are the greatest! Hopefully the anitibiotics kick in good today!
