About Us

Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.

Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

Last Days of Summer!

We decided to pull the pool out one last time before summer was over! Ethan just loves to splash in the water, so this little pool is perfect!
He is 7 months old now, and is doing great. He's even starting to say 'da da'. Okay, maybe it's more like dududu, but we were still pretty excited. He's becoming Mr. Indenpendent. He only wants to be held when he's tired. He loves to play on the floor, and discover new things, but he wants to do it by himself. He also loves to feel textures, and chew on anything. Norma fascinates him! He grabs her ears, and bless her little heart, she just lets him. I fear for the day he starts crawling, because I know he'll follow her right out the dog door! We've also been trying out new foods. He loves bananas and honeydew, and ice cream!
He's just at such a fun age now, but I miss those days where I could just cuddle him all day long!

Hearing you talk about school makes me a bit sad. I think of you and Fuller and Ward and all the fun people we worked with and it makes me miss all of that a lot. I do not miss having to go to school and worry about a sick kid though, it is rough! You are such a good teacher though I would hate to see you leave the profession ever.
