Yesterday, I had passed my committee exam for my Master's degree! I had to present a powerpoint presentation to the committee about my project, and then they grilled me with questions for about 40 minutes. I passed, which means I'm one step closer to graduation! Thank goodness!
My written capstone report has been graded by my mentor, but has to be approved by the rest of my graduation committee. Hopefully it will pass in the next few weeks, and then I'll FINALLY be done!
About Us
Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.
Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

Congrats! I think since you and Liz have been explaining about the process of getting your masters, I had I dream/nightmare, about trying to put together research for a thesis last night! haha! You're amazing to do all that work plus teach!
Way to go!
Yay!!! Good job Les - I bet you are so glad that's over, and so ready to be completely done. Now you have to start thinking about what you're gonna do with all that extra time you'll have... :)
That's awesome news! I know the feeling...when the group I did my Masters with finished, we had to celebrate with a trip to Lake Powell. You'll have to totally reward yourself when you're done. Congrats!
Congrats, Leslie! That is AWESOME! And I know it's a HUGE DEAL!!!! When I worked at BYU it was so cool to watch all the students go through this. They walked around on cloud-9 after they were done!!
