Just as I Pictured!

The other day I had Ethan in the stroller, and I was walking around the neighborhood. We live in a quiet subdivision, with little traffic, and lots of kids, many of whom were out at the parks that are scattered around. As I walked through the neighborhood, I couldn't help but smile as I suddenly realized that my life is everything that I always pictured it to be. I would have a great husband, and nice house, live in a cute little neighborhood, and be able to take my kids out walking, and to the park. I couldn't ask for more! Except maybe a few more kids, but not quite yet! :)

A thumb and a blankie!

Our little Ethan is a thumb sucker, and he also loves his blankie! It's so darn cute. When he gets tired, the thumb immediately goes in his mouth. When we lay him down, and put a blanket by him, he'll grab it and rub it on his face. He's such a sweet boy, and he loves to cuddle. I hope this doesn't go away too fast, because I LOVE it, but I'm sure that cuddling with your mom is not a trait most boys bost about. So I'll have to cherish it now, and know that it won't happen forever!

It is inevitable to hear the phrase . . . "I think he looks just like . . ." when you have a new baby! Well, in Ethan's case, there are mixed views. My family thinks he looks just like Andy, and Andy's family thinks he looks just like me! Most friends say he looks just like Daddy! Here are some baby pictures of us all! You be the judge!

Papers, papers, and more papers!

I am 13 months into my master's degree, and I'm already sick of writing papers. Half way there, hopefully I can hang on for another 11 months! I'm getting my degree in curriculum design and development, and hopefully I'll be able to get a district job! we'll see how it all goes!

Ethan loves to sit at the computer and play with the keys! So, I'll let him write a bit . . .

Some words of wisdom from my little guy!

A camping we will go!

This weekend we are going pseudocamping with my mom and dad. I call it pseudo camping, because they have a 32 foot trailer which is pretty much a hotel room on wheels. We always go to the same spot so that we have electicity, and water hooks up, there is a golf course around the corner, and for those of us who don't golf, we go shopping at the outlets! At night time, we put in a movie, pop a bag of popcorn, and enjoy! Talk about roughing it huh? We enjoy every minute of it, and can't wait for tomorrow to come so that we can take off to the great wild outdoors! ;)

Playtime

Ethan loves to play with his toys! He's also teething, so he also loves to put them in his mouth. He talks to them all the time, and just giggles and smiles! We love to watch him play!

A Day at the Zoo

A day at the zoo, and no, I'm not talking about our house, I'm talking about Hogle Zoo. Andy, Ethan, and I, our niece Charlotte, and our friends went to the zoo yesterday! We all had fun, even though Ethan didn't really know what was going on!

Dad's Day

For Dad's day, Ethan gave Dad a book called "I Love you Daddy," and Mommy gave him some toys for his Hot Rod! It was a good day, and we were excited to celebrate Andy's first fathers day.

The Yard Before & After

Putting in the yard has been a big project, but the front is finally finished and it looks great! Andy worked super hard putting in the sprinkling system, laying sod, and planting everything!

Ethan's First Big Boy Food

Today was the big day! Ethan tried his first food. Granted, it was only rice cereal, but he seemed to enjoy it after he figured out how to eat off of the spoon! We can't believe how fast our little guy is growing up!
At his four month appointment, which was yesterday, our little guy weighed in at 16 lbs 3 ounces, and is 25 inches long. We love how much he's interacting. His little giggle is adorable, and he gets so excited when Daddy makes faces at him.
Everything he grabs immediately goes in his mouth these days, and he tries to grab everything. This includes my cell phone while I'm trying to talk on it! :)

Ethan's Blessing

Andy blessed Ethan on April 13, 2008. He was pretty nervous, but did an amazing job. I couldn't have been more proud of him! Ethan looked pretty darn cute in his outfit, and he was a good boy for the blessing!
