About Us

Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.

Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

Papers, papers, and more papers!

I am 13 months into my master's degree, and I'm already sick of writing papers. Half way there, hopefully I can hang on for another 11 months! I'm getting my degree in curriculum design and development, and hopefully I'll be able to get a district job! we'll see how it all goes!

Ethan loves to sit at the computer and play with the keys! So, I'll let him write a bit . . .

A district position? Why on earth would you want a cushy set-up like that? What about being on the front lines of education? Won't you miss the students who get so mad you fear for your personal safety? What about the parents who express valid concerns, i.e. too much dating talk, wanting an apology for falsely accusing a trouble-maker for doing something inappropriate (that you witnessed), or, my favorite, squashing their spirits?!? I can't believe that you would want to leave all this. :) Good luck with the remainder of your work.
