About Us

Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.

Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

Ethan's First Big Boy Food

Today was the big day! Ethan tried his first food. Granted, it was only rice cereal, but he seemed to enjoy it after he figured out how to eat off of the spoon! We can't believe how fast our little guy is growing up!
At his four month appointment, which was yesterday, our little guy weighed in at 16 lbs 3 ounces, and is 25 inches long. We love how much he's interacting. His little giggle is adorable, and he gets so excited when Daddy makes faces at him.
Everything he grabs immediately goes in his mouth these days, and he tries to grab everything. This includes my cell phone while I'm trying to talk on it! :)
We love our little guy!

He is so cute! I think he is going to look like you. Sophie looks exactly like Kennedy as a baby. The second time around is much easier, although this baby is much better! Then you also have a toddler to deal with? Being a mom is hard work, what can I say? I am sure you are super mom though.

What is up? I can't believe it is you....I don't believe it. I had heard about the wedding and the baby from Summer! Congrats! I am so happy for you. I hope that all is well in Utah. Your baby is adorable. It is so nice to reconnect with you. I guess I should go back to teaching (yes, it is June 5th and us crazy Oregonians are still in school until the 14th!!!!). I mis

How cute!! Speaking of food--does the mom need to eat? Hicks moves at the end of this month and I move around the beginning of July, so we thought that we could get together for lunch this next week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday---you get the idea. When would it work for you? What time would you like to get together? Also, where shall we go? If you do not want to go with us--deal with it! You are coming whether you want to or not. :) Let me know.
