About Us

Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.

Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

twilight- what's with all the fuss?

I have never had a desire to read any of the twilight series at all. Everyone has been telling me how fantastic they are, but a jr. high vampire story doesn't really appeal to me too much. So, I've tended to shy away! I did watch the movie last night to see what all the fuss was about. Now, I know that movies never do a book justice, but the movie sucked! It was slow, boring, and awkward. It actually started picking up about the last 10 minutes, but by then I'd already lost my interest. Needless to say, I was not impressed at all. My apologies to all you twilight fans.

I liked the first book, the story line is intriguing, and I made myself read the last three just to see how it finally ended, but the writing is very sub-par, and there are major plot holes.
The movie was um, entertaining? We just watched it. I was mostly watching to see how they made Edward "shimmer like diamonds" as the description in the book left me with what can only be described as a bizarre vision.
Good times.
It's a good bathtub book, when you don't want to think.

Leslie,

I hated the book and won't watch the movie. I am happy to hear you are a Twilight nonfan too.
