About Us

Andy and I met on a blind date in Dec. 2005. One of my 7th grade students was his neice, and she set us up. Go figure. We saw each other every day after that! We were engaged by June and married in September of 2006. In January, 2008, we welcomed little Ethan into our home, and in August, 2010, little Addison arrived.

Andy is a diesel mechanic at Kennecott. I taught middle school science for ten years, and am now an evidence-based learning specialist for a school district.

New Job!!!!

Well, today I was offered a position as the district science specialist for the Canyon's school district! I'm pretty excited to be working over there next year, and I think it will be a great change to teach teachers instead of kids! Even though I'll miss them!

Whoa! Did I miss this discussion at lunch today?! CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so excited for you (even though you won't be working on our side :( Does that mean we still have Barbara? I truly hope not. I wish you could be the specialist for our district. You will be sorely missed here!

You are the perfect choice. I am so excited for you althought the kids are missing an amazing science teacher. The teachers will get great ideas from you and will hopefully be inspired to make science as fun as you always did. Congrats, I am thrilled for you.

Wow congratz! That is super exciting! You are going to be great at that job. But you are going to be missed as a teacher though! I laughed at Melinda's comment about good ol' Barbara. Does that mean you get to hang out with her sometimes? hee hee. I know you would love that...;)

Awesome Sis, you deserve the best, congratulations on your successes, the kids are really going to be disappointed - their favorite science teacher will be leaving - but hay you will be helping the other teachers be as great as you!! You will be great for the job.
