Camping Trip
This weekend, we went camping with my parents! Ethan had a great time playing in the dirt at the campsite! In fact, this is one of the few pictures I've actually taken of him smiling!
We also had fun at the duck pond! The ducks would come right up to your hand to eat! This is hilareous of Grandma! Thanks mom and dad for having us up!! We really enjoyed it!

So Sweet!
I have to admit, I feel a little guilty about this picture! I just yelled at Ethan for picking my flower, but then this happened, and how can you get mad at this! It was tooo cute, so I grabbed the camera and got a shot just in the nic of time! Adorable isn't it!

Lava Hot Springs!
On Friday, we woke up and drove to Lava Hot Springs! I have never been before, so I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find a cute, tiny town. We rented a house for a few days with Andy's parents, and then his brother Gary, and his family stayed in a trailer down the street. On Friday we first checked out town. We found a cute little park where Ethan had to try out all the toys! Then, we spent the day at the swimming pool, which the big kids loved more than the little kids. The water slides were fantastic, and Gary and Andy even went off the olympic high dive! They are crazy!!!! The cutest part of all . . . I just got to the bottom of the water slide, and was waiting for Andy at the bottom, and it was a closed in tube water slide, and I could hear Andy giggling the entire way down! It was adorable! That night we strolled through town and stopped at the ice cream parlor to get a SQUARE scoop of ice cream. That's right, a square scoop! Never had that before!! After dinner, we ran to the grocery store and bought Ethan this little ball to play with. Little did he know, we played dodgeball with it until dark, and had a blast!
Saturday it was cold and rainey, but the kids wanted to run the river. So, Andy and Gary braved the cold to take the kids down. They rented tubes, and off they went. They went twice, and then afterwords, we went back for some hot showers, and some hot chocolate! We really had a fun time!

Daddy's little helper!
Yesterday I started to put the new handles on my bathroom cabinets, but didn't finish before Andy got home. So, when he got there, he wrapped things up, and as you can see, Ethan had to be right there in the action with his very own screw driver too! He has play tools, and I gave him his play screw driver, but he wanted none of that. He wanted to use the real one like daddy!!! How cute!

After 10 Years . . .
It's hard to believe that I've been teaching for 10 years, and that now that's coming to an end! I've enjoyed my career! I spent 4 years teaching 8th and 9th graders, and the last 6 years teaching 7th grade! I also coached the girls basketball team for 5 years, and brought home 2 championships! It has been a great priviledge working with so many young people! They have kept me on my toes, kept me in the loop, and kept me laughing! I sure enjoy seeing them learn, grow, develop, and I especially enjoy instilling a love for science in them. These are three of my girls from this year, Maraysia, Cassidy, and Kylie! They are adorable, and it's kids like these that will make me wish I was back in the classroom next year!
I only hope that I'll enjoy my new job at the district office as much as I've enjoyed teaching. I go with some anxiety, as I'm not sure what all my new job will entail! It was time for a change though, and I'm excited to move on to something new, and I'm so thankful for the opprotunity I have to grow a little in my career.
